Student Advisory Panel

This is a voluntary opportunity for students to feed in to the future of Nightline, and how we operate. We are looking for a group of up to 16 students to be part of this group, and the application deadline is midnight on 1 December 2024.
We are looking for a variety of students, those who are involved in a Nightline alongside those who aren’t, those who are at Universities which have a Nightline service and those who aren’t. Our meetings will be attended by the CEO and Operations Officer, along with every member of the group, and dates will be planned for the full year ahead, with 4 meetings a year.
The purpose of this group is to ensure students are feeding in to our strategy and plans, ensuring students are still at the heart of our mission and vision as an organisation. The Nightline Association is entering a period of change and development, and working with students throughout this period is vital to our values.
Our values are empathy, transparency, kindness, dependability, inclusiveness and assuming good intent. These values are what we all hold dear, and we ask that you would also respect them.
Who are we looking for?
Nightline Association is looking for a diverse group of students to ensure a range of living and personal experience, demographics and academic courses and Higher Education institutions are present.
The students will be interested in supporting peers where they are at.
The role will be one year long, with the opportunity to do a second year should capacity allow.
By applying for this role, we ask that you are able to commit to the following:
  • Attending four meetings, having read the papers shared a week ahead of the meeting. We anticipate this taking 4-5 hours per term.
  • Providing notice if you are no longer able to commit to the role, or attend a meeting at least one week ahead of the date of the meeting.
  • To use their discretion and acknowledge the meetings are confidential unless otherwise confirmed in the meeting.
  • To raise any conflicts of interest directly with the CEO.
  • To act in line with Nightline Association’s policies and values.

The deadline for applications is midnight on 1 December 2024. For any queries, please contact us at enquiries@nightline.ac.uk
