"I could write pages about how important Nightline is, giving students someone to turn to when they're desperate, lonely or just need to talk"

Joining Nightline was one of the best decisions I ever made - I met some of my best friends, and I gained some really useful skills.

The reason I stayed in for 3 years, though, was the service itself. I could write pages about how important Nightline is, giving students someone to turn to when they're desperate, lonely or just need to talk. It's incredibly meaningful to be a part of it, and to give up a small amount of your time to make a huge difference to someone else. It's tiring, it's emotional, it's stressful, and it's the best thing I've ever done; although it might sound strange, everything about being a Nightliner was fun, even doing duties, and I'd recommend it to anyone.
