Representation
Departmental Responsibilities
- Canvass and voice the views of Nightline Volunteers to the charity.
- Internal communication with members through the E-Bulletin, newsletters, Insomniac and any other means.
- Moderation of any website members area and/or forums.
Regional representatives are elected volunteers who represent and support Nightlines in their area. Other representaton volunteers run our internal communications. To find your local representative or to add something to our internal newsletters or magazine click here.
Nightline Development
Departmental responsibilities
- Improving Nightline services.
- Assisting Nightlines by collating and distributing guidance for training, publicity, new media services and fundraising.
- Managing and developing Good Practice Guidelines.
- Assisting in the setup of new Nightline services.
Nightline Development volunteers support Nightlines in specific areas such as training, publicity etc. as well as supporting the inial set up of Nightlines. If you would like support at your Nightline, find out who to contact here.
External Communications
Departmental responsibilities
- Promotion of the Nightline Association vision and activities to external bodies.
- Engaging with external audiences including newspapers and broadcast, digital and social media plus representation at events.
- Develop relationships with relevant external organisations.
- Recruit and retain Association volunteers and supporters.
- Protect and develop the brand

Charity Development and Events
Departmental responsibilities
- Plan, organise and manage conferences training events and away days.
- Manage the finances and resources for the charity, working with the finance trustee.
- Ensure that the charity has adequate provisions for their IT systems and services.
- Ensure that the charity complies with constitutional and legal affairs.
- Assist the trustees with preparation for the annual general meeting and assemblies.
- Manage information about member Nightlines, such as statistics and addresses.
Charity Development and Events department deals with administrative and resource management for the Nightline Association charity.
